So Darn Jealous!

Hey Teaches...do some organizing for me.  Poor Mrs. Schroeder is not allowed back to school until AUGUST 8th.  Yeah that's right...August!  Can you believe that???  So that means Mr. Schroeder has to put up with my traveling classroom.  Take a look at the crazy mess my dining room has become after  a week and a half!

So while some of you are organizing, labeling, and playing in your classrooms...know that I am
SO JEALOUS!!!!!
Label a tub for me OK!

  1. I'm with you!! We won't be able to get back in until that time, too. And we have to pack up our entire classroom every June...empty bookshelves, decoratives off the wall, etc. So it takes a good week just to put everything back together in August! Glad I'm not the only one. I definitely feel your pain!!!

  2. So I'm surfing the web this summer looking for SECOND grade blogs...and I find a North Carolina gal. (I'm from Shelby, but transplanted further south in Georgia.) Glad to find your blog! Come visit:

  4. Yes, I too feel your pain. We aren't allowed back in for the entire summer. Plus we only have ONE teacher work day before the kids arrive, which means I'll have to go in on my own time, but it won't be until late August. My scrapbook room, now looks like a clssroom

  5. We also have to pack up our classroom every year but this year was worse- I am switching classrooms. If I wait until I have to be back officially - I would only have 2 days to set up my classroom before registration day (and that's not including all the meetings they have us attend in the mean time) Really... can anyone truly focus during those meetings or are you making mental to do lists? I hope I can get into my classroom before I have to be back officially so I can start setting it up.

  7. August 20th here. It was the worst thing for my principal to tell me today. I've never been told that I cannot be in the building over the summer.

  8. We'll be back in session before you're allowed to go into your rooms for setup! I'm moving classrooms this year, so I have boxes at home and boxes stacked in a corner of my new room waiting for the previous teacher to vacate. She's a resource teacher for the building and has to move all of her files and equipment to a room that's 1/3 the size of the room I'm getting. I can't move in until she's moved out and it's taking FOREVER!

Extra, extra tell Mrs. Schroeder about it!
